ABOUT THIS EVENT
Fashion Art Fusion is a runway event designed to showcase and express African art and culture by exhibiting fashion styles created by local top notch and upcoming designers.Also on display on the runway are alternative music, spoken word and dance.
This is its fourth edition.
Over the past 3 years, the platform has grown from 150 to over 500 guests, and from one to about 10 designers on the runway annually as well as over 10 exhibitors showcasing their brands.
This year, the event will host more designers, including celebrity designers like Ayo Van Elmar, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Luzol and other upcoming designers, who will give “fabulous” interpretations to the locally manufactured Nigerian fabrics like Adire, Akwete, Benue “An-ger” Fabrics, Edo “Igbu” fabricsetc, on the runway. This will be combined with “Spoken word” , dance and Art at the same venue.
The Fashion Art Fusion will play host to Representatives from the Federal & State Governments, Traditional Rulers, members of the Expatriate community, Celebrities as well as young fashionistas from tertiary institutions.
The event promises to take fashion to a different new level in Nigeria.
